The Lambton County Fire Trade Show celebrated its 25th anniversary, and first return since the onset of the pandemic, in a new venue. The show has traditionally been held at Sunbridge Hotel & Conference Centre in Sarnia, Ont. With the hotel under construction, the show moved a short distance down the road to Lambton College Fire School, which also serves as a Regional Training Centre.

Show organizer and Warwick’s Fire Chief Brad Goodhill said the change allowed for a great opportunity to showcase the college and its training facilities.

The trade show took place Jan. 28 with 47 exhibitors set up in the apparatus bay. With a 2023 venue built for training, the event included a Jan. 27 electric vehicle training session with Jason Defosse and an OFM update from Deputy Fire Marshal Tim Beckett. The show was well attended, with over 300 people coming through the doors.

To celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary, Goodhill organized an exhibitor reception at Match Eatery in the Point Edward Casino.

Stay tuned for details on the 2024 show.
