Charlottetown has on-call chaplain

April 24, 2017, Charlottetown, P.E.I. - One person in the Charlottetown Fire Department is there to help firefighters extinguish the mental hardships associated with the grind of the job. Rev. Paula Hamilton, co-minister with her husband, Tom, at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, is the chaplain for the city’s fire department. Hamilton's position is a rarity on Prince Edward Island, and she says she is one of only two fire department chaplains in the province. Charlottetown Fire Chief Randy MacDonald calls Hamilton “one of the team."
