May 10, 2024, Vancouver, B.C. – On May 16, Blue Line, Fire Fighting in Canada, Canadian Firefighter and Canadian Security will host their successful Security • Police • Fire Career Expo for the first time in Vancouver.

The event connects job seekers with employers in the police, fire and security sectors.

Attendees who are interested in a career in public safety will be able to hone their interviewing skills during mock interview sessions held throughout the day with firefighters, police officers, and security professionals who will provide feedback.

In addition to the mock interviews, participants will be able to connect with high-ranking police and fire services personnel as well as security directors who will be there to offer mentorship and career-related guidance.

On the mentor roster, Gunter Kramer, acting assistant chief – professional development & training, District of North Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services, and Lieutenants Darcy Gordon and Mark Baker from Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services, will be on hand to speak to attendees about the fire sector.

Delta Police Service Chief Neil Dubord, and Surrey Police Service’s Deputy Chief Constable Todd Matsumoto and Insp. Novi Jette will be available on behalf of the policing sector.

Brian Ison, managing partner at Pacrim Risk and Security Consulting, and Liz Jones, senior manager of City Protective Services in Vancouver will be on hand to discuss the security industry.

Event attendees will also be able to tour the expo floor to engage and leave a lasting impact on diverse employers in the field of public safety. More than 25 prominent organizations including Vancouver Police Department, Surrey Police Service, Saanich Police, Department, Training Division Fire Academy, Justice Institute of British Columbia,  GardaWorld, Securitas, and many more, will be at the Career Expo with the sole purpose of recruiting and hiring top talent.
