Fire crews rescue fishermen lost in fog

Police say firefighters spent an hour searching for the men who were out fishing from a boat in Paddy’s Pond in St. John’s.

They were called at about 10 p.m. yesterday.

Police say the men made it to shore, but were unsure of their exact location.

They say fire crews launched a boat and guided them back to shore after finding them on the shoreline.

Police say they were cold but not injured.
