Winnipeg firefighters’ union sounds alarm over ‘mass exodus’ of fire paramedics

Nov. 18, 2020, Winnipeg – The union that represents firefighters and fire truck paramedics is sounding the alarm over a “mass exodus” of fire truck Primary Care Paramedics (Fire PCPs). In a letter to members, United Fire Fighters of Winnipeg (UFFW) President Alex Forrest said 70 Fire PCPs left the program in the last year – the majority over the last two months.
