Frigid temperatures, frozen hydrant hamper firefighting efforts

Feb. 28, 2019, Moncton, N.B. - Frigid temperatures made a tough night for firefighters in Moncton even tougher. A fire broke out on the top floor of a three-floor, 18-unit apartment building on Tuesday night. When firefighters arrived they found the nearest hydrant frozen up because of the cold temperatures, which felt like –30 C with the wind chill. CBC News reports. | READ MORE
