Sudbury chief presents EMS optimization plan

Mar. 23, 2017, Sudbury, Ont. - The point of the EMS optimization plan is to minimize risk to the community, to tidy operations and improve response times, council heard Tuesday during a special council meeting. City councillors met to hear Trevor Bain, the city's chief of fire and paramedic services and general manager of community safety, deliver a presentation on the much-debated and oft-contested optimization plan, which is intended to streamline and modernize the operations of the city's fire and paramedic services.
