Huntsville/Lake of Bays fire chief and deputy fire chief announced

April 11, Huntsville, Ont., – The Town of Huntsville and the Township of Lake of Bays have appointed Gary Monahan as the chief of Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire and Emergency Services.

Monahan has been an active member of Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire and Emergency Services for over 32 years.  Prior to his most recent role as deputy chief, Monahan served as the Training Officer for the Department.

With Monahan’s promotion to chief, the position of deputy chief for Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire and Emergency Services is set to be filled by Paul Calleja. Calleja, a 17-year veteran of Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire and Emergency Services, has been the training officer and part-time firefighter with the service.
