Kingsville Fire Department review includes 22 recommendations following ‘close call’

Nov. 25, 2020, Kingsville, Ont. – A review of Ontario’s Kingsville Fire Department (KFD) following a harrowing water rescue in September saw 22 recommendations put forward to improve the service. On Monday, council received the report from the current Amherstburg Fire Chief, and former Windsor Fire Chief, Bruce Montone, which laid out recommendations to establish a unified command, improve training and update policies.
