Kitchener response times fall below standard: report

May 5, 2017, Kitchener, Ont. -  An analysis of the Kitchener Fire Department's response times reveals that the city's firefighters are taking longer to respond to most calls than the industry standard. But Fire Chief Jon Rehill believes technology upgrades expected over the next year or two should go a long way to getting those response times closer to the standard set by the National Fire Protection Association.
