Lightning fire near Briggs Creek grows to 1,500 hectares

Aug. 3, 2022, Kaslo, B.C. – A fire caused by a lightning strike near Briggs Creek has ballooned to 1,500 hectares in size. It is estimated that the fire is 11.5 km west of the town of Kaslo. The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) has implemented an evacuation alert, for many properties on South Fork Road in Kaslo. Kamloops Now reports. | READ MORE
