Markham Fire & Emergency Services receives Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada grant

Headlines News Hot TopicsNov. 2, 2022, Markham, Ont. – Markham Fire and Emergency Services (MFES) has receive a grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada in the amount of $19,546. The grant will be used to wrap six Markham Fire station bay doors with fire safety messaging.
A student from Unionville High School was commissioned to design the artwork that will appear on the station bay doors, which focuses on extinguishing bad habits and cooking safely in the kitchen.
This is the third year that MFES has received a grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada.
The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada has awarded 306 grants to public safety organizations since 2015. This grant is one of 22 Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada awarded to public safety organizations during the most recent grant cycle.
