Oct. 25, 2022, Montreal – A parked car was damaged by a suspicious fire in southwest Montreal overnight Monday.
No arrests have been reported so far in connection with the incident. No one was injured and no evacuations were reported.
Firefighters were notified around 12:30 a.m. that there was a vehicle on fire at the intersection of Victoria St. and 4th Ave. in a residential area of Lachine.
They were able to extinguish the fire, but during the operation, they found clues that led them to believe the fire had been intentionally set. They turned the file over to the Montreal police service’s arson squad.

The car has already been towed to a location where it will be examined by investigators.
