New survey looking to give a voice to the cultural safety of Indigenous wildland firefighters in Canada

March 26, 2021, Canada — The voices of Canadian Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) firefighters and fire operations staff (including support personnel) need to be heard, valued, and recognized. This survey is about the state of occupational health and safety (including cultural safety) for Indigenous firefighters and fire operations staff who are engaged in wildland fire suppression activities across Canada.
