Headlines News editors pickFeb. 21, 2020, Peterborough, Ont. – The Peterborough Fire Department in Ontario is hosting a fundraiser for mental health this March.
The event, titled We Own the Night, is set to take place Saturday, March 14 at 8 p.m. and will feature local country/rock band Gunslingers. All proceeds will be allocated to local mental health initiatives – including the local Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) – in the Peterborough/ Northumberland county area.
Organizers said the event is open to anyone interested in attending and supporting the cause.
“Every dollar raised in a bonus,” said firefighter and event organizer Caleb MacInnis. “If we can have a great event and put some resources out there and encourage healthy conversations and a positive attitude, that’s mission accomplished in our eyes.”
Tickets are $10 and are available for purchase online at eventbrite.ca or at the door.
