Roof fire damages Port Perry hospital

Aug. 28, 2017, Port Perry, Ont. - A Friday rooftop fire at Lakeridge Health Port Perry hospital was construction-related, officials determined. The cause of the fire was pinpointed as “a hot tar roofing application process that ignited nearby insulation,” said Scugog Fire Chief Mark Berney in a press release from the Township of Scugog.
