South Stormont Fire and Rescue receives grant for water rescue equipment

Oct. 22, 2024, South Stormont, Ont. — South Stormont Fire and Rescue in Ontario received a $23,796 grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada.

The grant will be used to purchase new water rescue equipment, allowing the department to safely perform water rescue operations in their community, the township reported in a press release.

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada has awarded 351 grants to public safety organizations since 2015.

The most recent cycle included 19 grants valued at more than $530,000 distributed across Canada.
