Woman dies in Montreal bar blaze

Her body was found around midnight by customers who saw smoke coming from the bathroom in the basement of a bar on Monk Street in the Ville-Émard neighbourhood.

She was confirmed dead by police. A smoking device may have caused the fire, police said.

The Montreal police arson squad is investigating.
