Barrie chief urges city to discontinue needle collection kiosks

Mar. 21, 2022, Barrie, Ont. – The Naloxone kits stay, the needle collection kiosks go. City councillors will consider a motion to that effect Monday. Barrie Fire Chief Cory Mainprize says the cost to lease and collect from the needle kiosks is about $25,000 annually, but his recommendation to discontinue them is not based on funding.
