Castlegar Fire Department call volume up by 31 per cent

Apr. 28, 2023, Castlegar, B.C. – For the first quarter of the year, Castlegar Fire Department calls were up by 31 per cent over last year. In 2022, CFD responded to 177 calls from Jan. 1 to March 31, this year they responded to 232 calls during the same period adding up to an extra 55 calls. Fire Chief Sam Lattanzio said the trend has continued into April with a total of 311 calls as of April 26 compared to 197 for the same period last year. | READ MORE
