Ontario Fire Marshal releases ‘hard to watch’ 911 video as part of smoke alarm safety campaign

Oct. 11, 2022, Ontario – The Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) is using a video that they are calling “disturbing” to remind people the importance to have working smoke alarms. The video posted to their Twitter account mainly features audio of what sounds like a child, crying hysterically, calling 911 to ask for help, as sounds of flames could be heard in the background.
