Rideau Lakes fire chaplain dies

Feb. 28, 2024, Rideau Lakes, Ont. – Thomas Montgomery Dorward, a longtime firefighter turned chaplain, died on Feb. 16 at the age of 79. Before his run with the township’s fire department, Dorward’s previous work experience included serving in the Canadian Forces medical services, as an emergency EMS responder, and a full-time Toronto International Airport Emergency Services and volunteer firefighter.
