May 10, 2023, Edmonton – Prepared for Duty Recruitment Service, a new specialized recruitment agency, announced its official launch as of March 1, 2023. The company is a provider of testing and staffing solutions for fire departments seeking qualified and experienced firefighters and chief officers.

Founded by Cindy Moretti, she brings 18 years of municipal experience in the field of human resources, supporting emergency services. As a former municipal employee, Moretti understands the time, effort, commitment, and cost to hire and become a firefighter. During her career, she recognized the need for diversity in the fire department, and she successfully completed a female only firefighter recruitment.

Firefighters and chief officers play a critical role in protecting our communities, and the demand for these professionals is only increasing. However, finding qualified candidates can be a challenge for many fire departments.

“We understand the unique skills and experience required for these positions and work diligently to identify top talent and match them with the right opportunities,” said Moretti.

Whether it’s a small volunteer department or a large urban one, Prepared for Duty Recruitment Service tailors its services to meet the specific needs and budgets of fire departments.

“Our goal is to provide fire departments with the best possible candidates that are prepared for duty for these critical positions,” said Moretti. “We take pride in offering tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each fire department we work with.”

Prepared for Duty Recruitment Service offers a range of services, from a full recruitment project, executive searches to recruitment support. The company also provides a full range of testing to ensure candidates are fit to do the work required: physical fitness, aptitude and medical knowledge testing, among others.

“We want to ensure candidates are prepared for duty by having a full understanding of what it takes to be in this career. That’s why we offer fire culture information sessions and resilience training as well,” added Moretti.

At our company, we believe in supporting individuals to discover their potential to achieve their dream job. Employers who recognize the potential with these candidates can be positioned to build a strong and diverse team. We are committed to working with employers and job seekers to create meaningful connections that can unlock the potential of both parties and lead to mutually beneficial outcomes.
