Suspicious fire razes homes under construction

Mar. 23, 2017, Montreal - At least three homes under construction in St-Lazare were destroyed early Wednesday in a fire deemed “suspicious” by authorities.

The flames broke out at about 2:30 a.m. and burned intensely, destroying the uninhabited houses on des Chenilles St. near de la Cité des Jeunes Rd.

No injuries were reported.

The fire is being investigated by the Sûreté du Québec as a possible case of arson.
