Vancouver crews battle fire at historic industrial building

July 26, 2023, Vancouver – A large fire was reported at a historic industrial building in Vancouver’s False Creek on Tuesday night. A CBC reporter who was in the area says the blaze started around 9:45 p.m. at the First Avenue Plant, where the Vancouver Mill Machinery Ltd. used to operate at the intersection of First Avenue and Cook Street.
