Melfort hires new chief

May 23, 2017, Melfort, Sask. - On June 5, Paul See will become chief of the Melfort Fire Department in Saskatchewan. He takes over the position from John McDonald, who retired at the end of March, after 40 years of service. Assistant Chief Doug Walsh has been serving as the interim chief since McDonald's retirement. See is currently the fire chief of the Waskesiu Fire Department, located inside Saskatchewan's Prince Albert National Park.
