Nova Scotia volunteer pushes for green lights

Aug. 26, 2016, Halifax - Nova Scotia’s volunteer firefighters leave home, work or play at all hours of the day to save lives. Most of the time, they’re in their own vehicles and have no way to let other drivers know they’re responding to an emergency. Mira Road volunteer firefighter Art Sutherland says when lives are at stake, you don't want to be slowed down by traffic.
